Down to earth, honest, and filled with depth, Luke Spehar’s music blends deep, calming vocals with intricate and heartfelt instrumentals that draw the listener deeper into the dynamic journey of a life lived in light of God’s love. His music transcends religious and social barriers, meeting people where they are at and illuminating the reality of the human condition.
Luke grew up in a small rural community north of St. Paul, Minnesota. From a young age, he has enjoyed the outdoors and continues to draw inspiration from these experiences as his career has progressed. Luke began writing music at the age of 16 and composed all of the songs on his debut album, Be Still, before he graduated high school. He continued to write music throughout college, a time that he spent discerning the priesthood in the Catholic seminary. Luke also recorded Be Still during this time and recorded his second album, No Other Way, in 2011.
After deciding to pursue God’s will outside of the seminary, Luke began to direct his focus and energy toward writing and performing music. Since then, he has traveled throughout the country, performing for audiences of all ages in concert and at various retreats for youth and young adults. Luke has also had the honor of playing for several military retreats and memorials in the past year. His most recent tour culminated with opening several shows for Grammy Award-Winning artist Ben Harper in the United States and Canada. Luke continues to perform both locally and across the country and is currently working on his third album.
